After pioneering the concept of continuous data validation, Goodtables.io was shut down in December 2022

We recommend migrating to the new Frictionless Repository continuous data validation system provided by Frictionless Data. The core difference between the two projects is that Frictionless Repository doesn’t rely on any hosted infrastructure except for Github Actions, which makes it more sustainable. Also, it uses the new Frictionless Framework under the hood, which brings many improvements over the old goodtables-py library in terms of validation quality and performance.

If you have any doubts or questions, please come and ask in our Slack community chat (also via Matrix) or in the project GitHub Discussions. The migration should be quite straightforward, but we are happy to provide guidance.

GoodTables was part of the Frictionless Data project from Open Knowledge Foundation, which supports a wider discussion around open data quality.Privacy policy.
